TOURMOBILE UPDATE

TOUR UPDATE: BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA PARADE ON SUNDAY, JULY 25TH

Due road closures associated with the Boy Scouts Parade on the National Mall to celebrate 100 years of service, Tourmobile will not stop at the following sites on Sunday, July 25th:

White House Visitors Center

World War II Memorial

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Additionally, we ask for your patience during this event as some visitors may experience minor delays in service due to rolling road closures and heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

We apologize for any inconvenience.


TOUR UPDATE: SUMMER TOURING IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

TOUR UPDATE: MOUNT VERNON TOUR AND FREDERICK DOUGLASS TOURS RESUMES ON TUESDAY, JUNE 15, 2010.

Our tour to Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington will resume operations on June 15, with tours departing daily from Arlington National Cemetery at 11:00 am. Tickets are $32 per adult and $16 for children.

Tours to Cedar Hill, the home of Frederick Douglass will also resume on June 15 with tours departing at 12:00 noon from Arlington National Cemetery and 12:15 pm from the Washington Monument. Tickets are $7.00 per adult and $3.50 for children.

DIRECT TICKET SALES NOW AVAILABLE

TourmobileSM is offering our customers the option of purchasing a direct sale ticket for the following tours:

  • 1-day American Heritage Tour
  • 2-day American Heritage TourTwilight Tour
  • Mount Vernon Tour(available June 15 thru Labor Day only)
  • Frederick Douglass Tour (available June 15 thru Labor Day only)
You may purchase a direct sale ticket if the following conditions are met:

    1. Your tour date is at 3 days or more from date of purchase.
    2. If your group consists of less than 19 people. Groups of twenty or more may contact the groups sales department for more information or CLICK HERE.
    3. You are paying by Mastercard, Visa or Discover. We do not accept American Express at this time. MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

    HOW DIRECT SALES WORKS

    1. Select your tour date.
      Select the tour you wish to purchase.
      Enter the quantity needed (adults or children).
      Select your boarding location (Union Station, Washington Monument, or Arlington National Cemetery).
      Pay for your direct sale ticket using a valid credit card.
      Review all the information for accuracy.
      Review the Checkout Agreement. You must agree to the terms before you can proceed with your purchase.
      Select “Submit”.
      You will be emailed a confirmation which you must bring to the boarding location you selected on day of tour and give to ticketseller. Present valid identification.
    2. You will receive your color-coded tickets at that time for touring and all-day unlimited reboarding.

    Please note that you can only use your direct sale ticket on the date you selected and must have your actual confirmation page with you to receive your tickets.

    If your tour date is within the 3-days or less advance timeframe, you must purchase your tickets in person from any of our ticketbooths or from a driver at any Tourmobile stop.

    To obtain a group rate for groups of 20 or more people or to charter a tram, you must contact the group sales department at (202) 488-5218. Group tour and tram charter information is also available on our website under Group Sales and Charter. If you want to purchase an Arlington National Cemetery only tour you must purchase your ticket on day of tour from our ticketbooth located inside the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center. If you want to use your American Express Card to purchase the 1-day American Heritage or Twilight Tour, you must purchase your tickets directly through TicketMaster.
