" Nature
is full of genius, full of the divinity; so that not
a snow flake escapes
its fascinating hand."
Henry David Thoreau - January 5, 1856
As soon as you enter the doors, you'll
be instantly aware that you've found a treasure full of fun
and fascinating things to see and do. Right in front of you
is an 8-ton African Bush Elephant. Head upstairs, and take
a peak at the largest blue diamond in the world, the 45.5
carat Hope Diamond. Keep walking around the corner and start
listening...you'll hear crickets chirping and bees buzzing
and soon you'll be entering the Insect Zoo. Ever wonder what
a Black Widow Spider looks like or what it's like inside a
beehive ? Have you ever seen a tarantula up close or wondered
just how big a cockroach can get? You'll never need to wonder
again! Maybe you've hear about the meteorite from Mars that
struck our planet and led scientists to believe that there
might have been some life form on Mars; at Natural History
take a look at a piece of that meteorite with the fossil and
form your own conclusions. Learn about the Dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus
Rex and Brontosaurus, see a vibrant and brilliantly colored
live Coral Reef or an eco system from the coast of Maine.
Experience a new high tech film “the Hologlobe”
narrated by James Earl Jones.
